Not a substitute for professional judgment

NEC Calculators is a calculation aid. It is not a substitute for the National Electrical Code itself, a licensed electrician or engineer, equipment manufacturer instructions, local amendments, or the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Always verify results against the applicable code edition and get sign-off from the AHJ before relying on any calculation for an actual installation.

Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when you sign up, and for keeping your password confidential. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

Use the service only for its intended purpose — running NEC-based calculations. Don't attempt to bypass access controls, resell or redistribute access to the tools, or interfere with the service's normal operation.

Plans and trials

New accounts get a limited-time free trial of certain calculators, described on the calculators page. Continued access after the trial requires an active subscription. Subscription requests submitted through the site are reviewed and set up manually — no payment is collected automatically through the site itself.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep calculations accurate and up to date with the NEC editions we support, but we don't guarantee the service is error-free, and we're not liable for decisions made based on its output.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
